Our tech team is at the very core of our business and enables us to scale and to deliver the smartest insurance platform there is. We focus on things like removing manual processes, automate the customer journey and to build a flexible system that delivers expansion across markets. We work closely to our business teams and every now in the team is doing a big impact on our platform and business output. Now we are looking for an Android Developer who is a self starter and has a high quality mindset!

Hedvig is growing and gaining more members every day. If you are someone who is looking to join a start-up to see more about the ecosystem, this could be for you. Even though we are moving very fast that doesn’t mean we can sit back and relax!

As one of our Android Developers you will be a key player in building an Android app based on Kotlin. The mobile app is the primary channel for all our users supporting the full journey. In this role you will focus more on building awesome functionality and a great UI rather than debugging old code.

Our app is heavy on UI and it consists of 100% Kotlin, MVVM, dependency injection through Koin and data layer in Apollo GraphQL.

What about you?

  • You have 1-2 years of experience developing Android apps
  • You are familiar with Kotlin or Java and you have an understanding of Android architectural patterns, preferably MVVM
  • You are results-oriented and aim high without playing it safe
  • You are a team player who acts without prestige and takes ownership of your work
  • You have a high quality mindset - both visually and for code
  • You are a great communicator that enjoys working collaborate with the business side
  • You think it's fun to build a fantastic UI with beautiful animations
  • You think it is important to share knowledge and to present how you've solved stuff
  • Big plus if you have experience with GraphQL and Espresso UI testing
